Challenges

Visitors to Fitzrovia often arrive through Warren Street tube station and head straight down Tottenham Court Road without turning right and exploring the independent shops and restaurants which Fitzrovia has to offer.

Solution

Able Partners won an open design competition hosted by the London Festival of Architecture and The Fitzrovia Partnership to encourage people to explore Fitzrovia, with our ‘Rabbit Warren Street’ idea. Much like a rabbit warren, Fitzrovia is invisible to those who don’t know about it but a rich network to those who do. Our installation included a giant rabbit warren entrance, an interactive map, and a programme of cultural events throughout the area during the London Festival of Architecture.
