This much loved building is functionally obsolete, closed to the public and home to vast amounts of embodied carbon. How can we reimagine this icon into a world class experience which breathes new life into the structure and allows us to see London in a new way?

Solution

One of the greatest visitor experiences in the world. Accessed via a podium housing retail, hospitality and office, visitors emerge onto the roof garden where they see the re-imagined tower above them. A spiralling pedestrian route encased in mesh leads the visitor around the existing structure, with places to pause and enjoy the view.
